Silent Valley National Park – Is located in the Nilgiri hills, Palakkad and is a part of the tropical evergreen forests in India. This region is considered as the least explored place of the Western Ghats. Bestowed with a diverse nature of flora and fauna with water rivers flowing through the grasslands is totally a wondrous sight to see.
Ponmudi – Is located in Thiruvanathapuram, the capital city of Kerala. This hill station is commonly called as the Golden Peak which is 1110m altitude above sea level. Dense tropical forests and sloppy hills makes this place an absolute grandeur.
Nelliampathi – Nested admist the Western Ghat section is Nelliampathi. About 60 km away from Palakkad, Kerala. Commonly known as the “Poor man’s Ooty” as it is surrounded by plantations of Tea and coffee and also resembles to Ooty in the weather conditions. The journey to this place is like a tour in a dreamland.
Idukki Dam – This dam stands tall on the Periyar river waters. It is constructed between two hills in Kerala. It is Asia’s tallest and highest arch dam and it supports a hydroelectric power station. Catch the captivating sight of this dam from far, as public interference in these premises is not always entertained.
Vazhachal Falls – Gushing waters from the rivers of Chalakkudy, located in the district of Thrissur in Kerala. Lies 90 km away from the city if Cochin. This is one splendid waterfalls which is less visited and the view is picturesque.
