Gold ATMs in Dubai: A golden surprise awaiting you this shopping season

Though the true full form of ATM is ‘Automatic Teller Machine’ (as some of you may be knowing, in case you watch KBC), but there is a vulgar notion amongst many that it is the abbreviation for ‘Any Time Money’. Well, on that count, Dubai should change the name for some of its machines to ATG which should spell out as ‘Any Time Gold’.

Yes, if you are getting ideas after reading that, then we are delighted that you are getting ideas. Coz believe it or not, Dubai has Gold ATMs where you can get gold coins and bars trickling out of the slot space. You just need to feed cash of the existing gold price and in return, you can get gold.

That can be a strong incentive for you to buy our Dubai tourism packages. Not that, the city lacks attractions. There are shopping malls of every size imaginable. Dubai Mall, Ibn Batutah Mall, Mall of the Emirates- you name it, you get it.

Plus, the shopping festival Dubai is about to kick off this January. (2nd January- 2nd February, 2014) and will be a month-long affair of blitzkrieg shopping, eating and merrymaking.

One of the best places to locate such a Gold ATM is the Dubai Mall itself, which also happens to be the one of the topmost attractions of the city. The mall is extremely huge and it is unlikely that you will be able to explore it in just one day. Anyway, look for Galeries Lafayette where this ATM is situated.

Such an ATM has been another master stroke by Dubai tourism which has already got a lot of aces to flaunt. This Gold ATM has not only piqued the interest of foreign tourists and the demand for Dubai tourism packages, but it has also helped shoppers to quickly purchase gold.

Dubai, of course, is like a gold mine and this strategy has worked well in luring potential customers to get home a 24 karat gold coin. Alternately, there are Gold Souks (gold markets) where you can do the purchasing the traditional way.

If you ask us when to visit Dubai, we would say anytime, excepting the sultry days between March and June. The December-February period should be considered ideal for the upcoming season.

Five Best Things to do in Dubai if it is Your Maiden Trip

Dubai has emerged as a destination of domineering stature, one which has got no rival on the planet. This statement is adequately attested by giant landmarks like Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall which sit haughtily on the land of Dubai and bask under the riveting attention they receive throughout the year. With Dubai tour being rolled out on net, even people with modest means can plan that dream trip to this dream destination.

And if you are heading to Dubai for the first time, then allow us to guide you a bit. So, here are the five best things you must do in Dubai, or else we would force you to go again:

Crooning on the dunes: No, you don’t exactly need to croon, but your hormone levels would be so high in thrill that we dare you to stop yourself from screaming aloud! Dubai is a destination for the dune-lovers, or to be precise for those who always wanted to step foot on such phantasmagoric deserts which we only hear or read about but never see face-to-face. Enjoy camel rides or jeep safaris or simply walk bare-footed and feel the sand-laden air strike your face- these dunes are all yours!

Camel Ride
Luxurious dining: If you are en route to Dubai under romantic honeymoon packages, then you should treat your spouse with some luxurious dinners by the beach or on the desert. Dining at desert is no longer a distant possibility, and the beach outside the Burj Al Arab offers you an intensely memorable dining experience!

Kidding around: In case, you are with your kids, then we can assure you that you will never run out of attractions. From the Indoor Skiing to KidZania to the Dubai Aquarium, this destination is where you can simply turn a kid with your kid.
Checking the best of the best: Dubai houses some of the best attractions of Dubai which the world has to offer. If Burj Khalifa is the tallest manmade thing on the planet, then Dubai Mall is the largest mall and the Burj Al Arab is the most talked-after hotel! Just check them out one by one!

Mosques and souks: The mosques and souks are quite unique attractions which you must not skip during your stay.

So when it comes to Dubai, there should be no looking back! Just toss your clothes inside your trunks and get ready for the adrenaline rush!

Dining In The Arabian Desert: An Experience Of A Lifetime

Have you ever dined in a desert? Forget about that- have you even thought of such a possibility? Okay, have you even been to any desert ever?

No na! So, why not take a tour of Dubai, which is a weird destination since it serves you beaches as well as deserts! Now how cool it is! The Arabian Desert lies in the vicinity and it is here that you can have the fun of your life. You can ride a camel and just gape at the long stretch of sand. You can observe the sand dunes (which can shift at a surprising pace if the wind is strong), and you can even spot a mirage (if you are lucky).

Special holiday packages are churned out so that now tourists can have a more enriched experience. So, be prepared to have dinner in camps and small makeshift eateries! The trend is to enjoy meals with the desert as the background and with a folk dance in progress. Some tour operators even arrange international dancers and those delicious-looking belly dancers who will shake their way to your…errr…heart!

So you can dig into local cuisines or the kind of meals which you are used to (Don’t worry, they won’t serve you camel meat)!

There are many fun activities which one can do at those camps or makeshift eateries (whatever you call them). There are tattoo artists who will do a mehandi tattoo on your hands, palms, forearms or anywhere you insist.

People often look for sightseeing places in Dubai for kids. Even though there is the Indoor skiing and the Aquarium and the famed Wild Wadi Park, the Arabian Desert will offer a completely unique and fresh experience. So this is what we recommend!

You can even plan an overnight stay at the place for nominal charges. However, there would be sand everywhere around you. So, if you are a very hygiene conscious person or are allergic to dust, then stay away from this expedition.

Dubai In 5 Days: For Those With A Low Bank Balance

Dubai is one of a kind destination, and one which you dare not miss out on! You may feel that your bank balance is not hefty enough to allow you the luxury of a Dubai trip! But who is asking you to stay at Burj Al Arab (which, by the way, happens to be the only 7-star hotel in the world)! Who is asking you to buy a plot at Palm Island (which, by the way, is an artificial island shaped like the leaf of a palm tree)! Who is asking you to spend a month on the exotic beach of Jumeirah (which, by the way, is impeccably landscaped and has top resorts and even a water park perched over it)!

With Dubai holiday packages (which you are so entitled to buy albeit at your own expenses), it is possible to spend a few days for a very modest amount. In fact, if you fear the amount of money you may spend over the lure of this holiday, then you can just spend 5 days and still check out all the major attractions of the destination! Just in case you still fear the extra expenses which your wife and children may account for (once they set their eyes on those huge malls), you better keep those spots at bay! But then it would be a sin on your part to keep your shopping-loving wife bereft of the thrills of seeing Dubai Mall (the largest mall in the world) and your children of enjoying Indoor Skiing at the Mall of the Emirates (the must-visit attraction of Dubai).

Amongst some other must-visit attractions and spots that you should cover in your 5-day trip, the ones we recommend (and everybody recommends) are:

  • Burj Khalifa
  • Gold Souk
  • Wild Wadi Park
  • Desert Safari

There are plenty of other attractions which you can cover easily by opting for Dubai packages from Delhi India. You will save money and enjoy to the fullest. Yes, it is the truth! There is no loophole in the statement. God promise!

The World’s Most Extravagant Hotels

While the rest of us are busy bargain-searching trying to find affordable hotel rooms, there are the 1% who can afford to spend $10,000 on a single hotel room. Here are some of the world’s most extravagant hotel suites!

Seeing really is believing when it comes to the stunning hotels that Dubai has to offer. Whether it is the Burj Al Arab or the Shangri-La Hotel, there is no shortage of high-class hotels in Dubai. Be sure to try the stunning hotels Dubai has to offer.

The Burj Al Arab is considered to be one of the most extravagant hotels in Dubai. With personalized butler services, four swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) as well as a spa and healthclub, this is the very best of the best that money can buy. While you could always simply drive to the hotel, people who want to travel in style will choose the helicopter airport transfer service.

For a more traditional experience, Dubai’s Al Qasr hotel is a perfect fit. With a stunning design made to pay tribute to Arabian architectural styles, a traditional Arabic marketplace consisting of a variety of specialty shops and luxury rooms designed to mimic the typical residence of a Sheikh, this is the place to be.

Last but not least is the Bab Al Shams hotel which is made for the romantic at heart, home to a gorgeous view, tons of shaded courtyards and walkways as well as cool water features. Whether you’re travelling on your honeymoon or simply looking for romance in Dubai, this is a great place to be. The Bab Al Shams resort is situated near the desert to provide you with an authentic Dubai experience but don’t worry, all the luxuries you’d expect are still there.

Dubai isn’t the only place with stunning hotels though, you should check out the gorgeous hotels in central Paris. The Hôtel Bourg Tibourg is considered by most travellers to be one of the more romantic getaways in Paris. It is located on a quiet street and has a homey feel. While still relatively expensive, this is one of the cheaper options available in the city.

One cannot bring up high-class hotels in Paris without mentioning the Hôtel Ritz Paris. The Ritz is the most expensive hotel in all of Paris and for good reason. The thousands of dollars you would spend on a suite go to fund the priceless antique furniture in each room, the many “legendary” restaurants and the lavish swimming pool. If you have money to burn, be sure to come here!

You’ve already seen the many lavish hotels on Dubai and Paris but have you heard of the amazing Ritz Carlton in Moscow? It’s yet another stunning hotel only in Moscow. It features a world-class sushi bar so you can eat to your heart’s content, huge suites with stunning views and marble baths.

It would be impossible not to mention luxury hotels without mentioning London. Home to the famous Dorchester hotel, the Savoy and the Ritz, London offers some of the best hotel experiences for the rich and famous.  The Dorchester is a particular marvel, offering everything from an exclusive spa to a formal banquet.

Where To Stay In Dubai: Some Luxurious And Budget Options For Tourists

Dubai is Dubai- there is no competition to it! With a 7-star hotel (Burj Al Arab) and the highest manmade landmark (Burj Al Khalifa) in its kitty, it can win that travel trophy without any glitch! Gold shops, malls and some splendid beaches aside, it is also a highly accessible destination, a fact that is attested by high footfalls! And since Dubai holiday packages are so easily and cheaply available, I see no reason why you shouldn’t be making a trip this season!

Burj Al Arab, Dubai

Now, when you are in Dubai, you won’t have to worry about the accommodation! There are enough roofs under which you can get a secure shelter! All you have to do is to count your money and make a choice! If you are rich (and I mean RICH), then the best option would be the 7-star property which I extolled earlier (yes, that Burj Al Arab)!

But if you are a modest traveler, then do not gulp! There are plenty of other 3-star hotels which are great and still quite cheap! A few budget hotels would be Hyatt Regency, Movenpick Hotel Deira, Capitol Hotel and Coral Oriental. These are pretty luxurious but the tariffs are lower.

The Ritz Carlton is another coveted and popular hotel which will be pricey (so, just skip this para if you are short of cash)! It is a salubriously located resort and would serve you with every facility you can conceive of. The Jumeirah Beach Hotel is another option if you are planning to stay beside the beach. There, you can also dig into some beach sports and do everything else you want to do!

If your budget is really low (aw, poor you), then try booking a room at Dream Palace Hotel or Holiday Inn. They are very pocket-friendly and meant for people like me  L

Alternately, you can buy cheap Dubai packages from a trusted website and let the travel planner put you in a good hotel.
